  Hired South Lake Tree to take out a very large oak after Irma. My experience with this company was less than pleasant. We paid an average rate for the service. Communication on the part of the owner is very poor. Due to Irma I think this business may have been very busy. We waited our turn to get our tree removed. Crew came and removed the tree down to the ground. They were quick and efficient just not professional. They left two huge pieces of the stump on my neighbors property, which became an issue for us as it was was to large for anyone to move without a tractor. City came and picked it up with other hurricane debris so no problem getting it taken away. Just an issue with neighbor. We chose to have a small amount of mulch left behind. They chose not to bring the truck in the back yard for the chipper. Just chipped it all in our yard. We found beer cans in the mulch left behind by crew. Crew threw their lunch trash in our debris pile by the road. We had to go out after they left and clean up. A beer can, empty Chef Boyardee can, empty cup from fountain drink and various other trash. Owner was upset because after three weeks of no contact we decided to hire another company to do the stump. I will not be using this company again. I do not think it is a bad company, I just think the owner is overwhelmed and cannot control quality of work or keep up with communication.
